About the tour

Breidafjordur is well known for its endless amounts of untouched islands and its incredible wildlife. On this personalized tour we teach clients the basic skills of kayaking before heading off from Stykkisholmur harbour in search of puffins and seals and to explore an abandoned shipwreck. We will also learn about the fascinating history and geology of the wild and rugged Snaefellsnes peninsula. In a small and beginner-friendly group, we enjoy the pristine nature in a unique and environmentally friendly way.

Please note

  • The famous “Þorgeir” Shipwreck
  • Breidafjordur Bay with its remote islands
  • Wildlife, puffins and other sea birds, and occasionally seals and the majestic eagles.

  • Splash top
  • All sea kayak equipment
  • Professional kayak guide
  • Warm drinks

Out on Iceland’s open seas, it is always wise to dress in warm clothes. Bring a warm jacket and pants, headwear, gloves, and a good first layer. Good outdoor shoes are recommended.
