Simply the West
We simply love West Iceland! The West of Iceland has everything to offer, there are valleys and glaciers, hot springs and open waters, culture and history. Our mission is to share the wonders of the West, both the famous tourist hot spots and our little secret places off the beaten path and offer a variety of day tours and activities in this area.
Who are we?
Magnús (Maggi) and Silja are the owners and founders of Simply the West. Simply the West is born out of a passion for tourism in West Iceland, one of the most diverse and beautiful regions in Iceland.
Maggi and Silja have decades of experience in tourism. Magnús is a certified Mountain Guide and knows every inch of West Iceland like the back of his hand and has specialized in Luxury Tours.
Silja has worked in sales and quality management in the tourism sector for many years, most of the time for Travel Connect.
Our mission is to show you the beauty and diversity of West Iceland through our fun and informative activities and excursions.
